Abstract

This clinical observation was made on 490 newborn delivered at Chung Nam Medical Center during, a period of 2 years and a month from January, .1969 to . December, 1970,
The results were summarized as followings;
L. Precentage distribution of Apgar score for 490 newborns was 81.4% (400) for 107, 11.2 0 (54) for 65, 7.4% (36) for 40.
.2.. There was no significant difference of newborn Apgar score in primipara and multipara and highest Apgar score showed between 2029 maternal age.
.3. Apgar score of newborn were declined to lower score in shortening of duration of labor.
.4. Apgar score of newborn were declined to lower score in lengthening of first and second stage of labor. .
:5. Apgar score was high in vertex presentation baby compare to breech presentation baby.
6. Apgar score was influenced by the made of the deliveries; high Apgar score in spontanous vertex delivery, low Apgar score in forceps or vaccum, induction, and C-section delivery.
7. Apgar score were deeply related to weight of baby: premature baby¢¥s and 4500gm baby¢¥s score were lower than 2500gm to 3500gm baby¢¥s score.
8. Low Apgar¢¥ score babies should be need rapid and adequate management
